FurThermore,thephosphorylationofser556andser559havebeenshowntoplaykeyrolesinFANCIphysicallyassociatingwithFANCD2,stABIlizingtheID2complex,andsupportingitsDNAbindingandsubsequentD2-ubiquitination(WaldenandDeans,2014). ResearchcontinuestodetermineifonesiteplaysmoreofaroleintheDNArepair/damagecheckpointoftheFApathwayandstabilizationoftheID2complex.
